The Rio de Janeiro Scene - 2

Yesterday was a beautiful and unexpected flying day in Rio. Meteorology had predicted rains but the cold front pushed away to the ocean and left nice post-frontal conditions that took many pilots to the Christ and back!

I won´t be able to fly for another week or so, because of my bad bruise on my right thigh, accomplished during a bad landing, downwind and hitting the right sidebar full force with my thigh. Ouch!

I took these pictures from my apartment, the one with the gliders was just yesterday, while the other one is a beautiful sunset on the same view, but on a different day.

How many gliders can you spot enjoying the gentle lift over the Pedra Bonita? I counted 19!
